Jeanette Trejo is an associate attorney for Lira Bravo Law. Prior to joining Lira Bravo, Jeanette was helping detained clients know their rights in the Prairieland Detention Center through the Legal Orientation Program at Catholic Charities of Dallas.

Her passion for advocacy and immigration rights began with her own family. Her parents migrated to the United States from El Salvador during the Salvadoran Civil War.

She will never forget learning about President Reagan’s immigration reform in 1986 and how this reform allowed her family to stay together. Being a first-generation Salvadoran American woman, she also wanted to help others like her parents get the same relief.

She graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a bachelor’s degree in Anthropology and Government. She also received her law degree from the University of La Verne College of Law.

She currently lives in Grand Prairie where you can find her at any nearby Grand Prairie High School basketball games with her family.
